Dental Practice AED Laws & Regulations

Some states have instituted state laws that require dental practices to have an AED present.  In some cases, there isn't a state law that requires the AED, but there is a mandate set forth by the Dental Association in that state.  The Dental Associations have taken it upon themselves to create mandates that require an AED to be present at a dental office.  Below are the states that have either a law or mandate that requires an AED to be present in a dental office:

Arkansas - Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners Regulations - Effective 09/01/2010

Colorado - Board of Dental Examiners Rules & Regulations - Effective 03/30/2010

Florida - Florida Board of Dentistry Regulations - Effective 02/28/2006

Illinios - House Bill 921 - Effective 01/01/2010

Louisiana - Louisiana State Board of Dentistry Regulations - Effective 01/01/2007

Massachusetts - The Board of Regstration in Dentistry Regulations - Effective 08/20/2010

Missiouri - Missiouri Dental Board Regulations - Effective 09/30/2006

Mississippi - Board Regulation Number 45 - Effective 07/01/2012

North Carolina - North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners Regulations - Effective 09/01/2008
