School AED Laws

Each state has its own set of laws when AEDs are concerned.  More and more states are adding AED laws that will require schools to have AEDs available on the campus and for atheltics teams.  Below is a list of the AED laws that are in effect that require schools to have AEDs present at all times:

Alabama - Senate Bill 306 - Effective 05/15/2009

Arkansas - Senate Bill 312 - Effective 05/31/2011

California - Senate Bill 68 - Effective 02/22/2011

Connecticut - Senate Bill 981 - Effective 07/01/2009

Florida - Senate Bill 1082 - Effective 07/01/2011

Georgia - Senate Bill 1031 - Effective 07/01/2008

Minnesota - House Bill 739 - Effective 01/01/2014

North Dakota - Senate Bill 2313 - Effective 08/01/2007

Oklahoma - Senate Bill 923 - Effective 07/01/2008

Oregon - Senate Bill 1033 - Effective 01/01/2011

Rhode Island - House Bill 5169 - Effective 08/01/2011

South Carolina - House Bill 3723 - Effective 06/17/2008

Tennessee - Senate Bill 2505 - Effective 04/23/2010

Texas - Senate Bill 25 - Effective 09/01/2007

Wisconsin - Assembly Bill 725 - Effective 08/01/2010
