The LifePak Express features escalating energy settings from 200J, to 300J , to 360J. A tried and tested energy spread with a final shock at 360J helps relieve victims in ventricular fibrillation. The LifePak Expressis equipped with a motion detector in the even that the patient moves or is touched before the shock is administered; however if the victim moves on their own accord, the detector will not show.
The LifePak Express boasts semi-automatic functionality, so little user assistance is needed. The responder just has to turn on the unit, connect the pads, and press the shock button. The user-friendly features also include voice prompts during usage. It automatically performs regularly scheduled self-testing and alerts users if it requires repairs and is not operational.
A beneficial feature unique to the LIfePak Express is that it's ChargePak automatically changes the internal battery, mainting its peak performance level for the moment it's needed.
