The Philips HeartStart OnSite is the only automated external defibrillator to be designed specifically for home and personal use. Philips has successfuly manufactured a cost-effective, simple-to-use AED for personal use.
The Philips HeartStart OnSite employs 150J low-energy biphasic therapy that is effective at restoring a normal heart rhythm to victims of cardiac arrest.
The Philips HeartStart OnSite delivers a several, desireable features:
- “Pull” Tab – The “Pull” tab is a simple tab that can be pulled to activate the AED, removing confusion during the urgency of an emergency.
- CPR Coaching – The OnSite offers CPR Coaching, which helps the responder provide the correct depth and frequency of compressions.
- “I” Button – The “I” Button is an innovative feature from Philips that alerts program managers to problems with the unit using a beeping light. The second purpose is to provide medical teams information about what happened during a save. The unit actually monitors and records patient's information, such as ECG data.
The Philips HeartStart OnSite has a long-life battery of 5 years and an install life of 4 years. The OnSite AED performs daily self-tests and indicates if the unit is ready to go using a green flasthing light.
