The LifePak 1000 AED offers flexibility, power, durability and ease of use.
- Flexibility – the LifePak 1000 offers two display options for first responders, the graphic display and the ECG display.
- Power – the LifePak 1000 uses escalating energy setting of 200J, 300J, 360J to restore the hearbeat of a cardiac arrest victim. The LifePak 1000 increases the energy settings to 300J and finally 360J and continues shocking until the victim responds.
- Durability – the LifePak 1000 has the highest IP ratings of any AED from Physio Control, at 55. It is one of more durable AED's on the market today.
- Usability – the LifePak 1000 has a simple, intuitive user interface that gives clear voice prompts to assist the responder through the rescue.
The LifePak 1000 AED includes numerous desireable features:

- A Large LCD screen shows the ECG and graphic display.
- Pre-connected electrodes allow easy attachment of the pads to the cardiac patient. Once the pads are attached, the AED begins analyzing the patient's heartbeat.
The LifePak 1000 AED even allows emergency responders to customize their AED and CPR resuscitation protocols. The LifePak 1000 digitally records given shocks and patient's ECG rhythms for post-event review. The recordings can be transferred by the IrDA port to a PC.
Self testing is another benefifcial feature of the The LifePak 1000. To make sure the unit is functioning properly, it regularly performs self-tests and uses a light to indicate that is it ready to be used. A battery gauge also indicates if it needs to be replacel.
